I am utterly rubbish at thinking up show names for horses! But I would like to enter Finnegan under something a litle more showy
I wanted a show name for my pony Summer, but was too rubbish at thinking of one and then too scared to enter her under a show name
He is passported as 'seaview finnegan' due to the name of the stables he came from in ireland , but to me he is just finn. So really something irish would be quite nice, but nothing too complicated and hard to pronounce! I was thinking of entering him as Oberon for a start- with the whole irish fairy link and classical english link- but my mum and sister decided it sounded far too much like 'obi-wan' (kenobi) and flatly refused to enter him as that
Unless I can come up with anything that suits him then he will just have to be entered as Finnegan. He is going to his first show tomorrow, but just a starter show so the name thing can wait a bit longer. I probably won't use a show name for his first shows anyway but am hoping to compete him a fair bit over next year
Here are pictures of him to help. He is a 15.2hh 8y/o ISH, very sweet + loving, clever and mischievious.
(btw that's not his saddle- I know it doesn't fit him well! was just testing size)
the bogbrush mane is work in progress...
