Just a bit of fun, two of my new ponies need show names, and I thought you guys would be able to help!

They're looking a bit feral at the moment but hopefully you can get the idea...

One is an 8 yo bay gelding, 14.2, was a showjumper and now reschooling for dressage and possibly eventing. He's bay with a neat star and two little white socks at the back. His summer coat is starting to come through and is a lovely proper bay. I've included a pic from his previous home which hopefully shows his colour a bit better! His stable name is Rolo, so it would be good to find a show name somehow linked to that! He's not a very cuddly character, all business - definitely more of a competition pony than a fun pet.

The other is Texas, a 15.2 red and white cob, 5 years old. Very quiet and cuddly, but also got nice paces and will do a decent dressage test. Destined to be an allrounder! Something western related would be fun.

Any thoughts?! I usually rely on my OH to help with names but am a bit sick of everything being named after types of guns and tanks...! It works with big brown warmbloods to some extent, but not these two :-)

Here are some feral fluffy pics:

Some lovely ideas! So far the ones I like are:

Texas Star
Texas Ranger
Texas Red
Texas Two Step

Rock N Rollo/Roller/Rolla or Rocknrolla
High Roller
Let's Roll
Rollercoaster (he's a bit like one to ride..!)

this is fun!

great suggestions so far.

For Rolo maybe you could have Galaxy Quest [chocolate theme]

for Texas … Cape Canaveral [I think thats in Texas!] or Paris, Texas [v old film showing my age]

They both look great fun.

How are you doing after your nasty injury by the way Tobiano1984? x x

Thanks tobiano - I'm doing well, back on my feet although not riding yet! Pleased to be back around horses, although missing my boy - so glad I've got others to occupy me..! xx
