Basically we have a mini show type thing going on at our yard on tuesday, now I am using Mcginty (who was kindly lent to me by his owners

) Now all my stuff is for pickle and is HUGE and just wouldnt suit Mcginty. I have no idea what to do as its pretty short notice, allthough if I can think of a quick idea could maybe bodge something together if the fabric shop is open at all on monday

. Also I have zero idea how to plait him I am useless at plaiting any tips of step by step guides. Oh and what shall I wear as I do not own a show jacket

Not quite sure what you are asking but could you not just find him in his own tack? Also I'm sure don't have to plait, often a unplaited horse looks better than a badly plaited one.

His tack looks fine to me... Although maybe use a numnah instead of a saddlecloth as it does look neater for showing

And you should get away with a neatly pulled mane

depends what type of show it is-if you're jumping/dressaging then that white saddlecloth and boots would look nice and smart!
Make sure his mane is all flat and neat, whack a tail bandage on his tail, scrub his white sock and liberally apply the show sheen-you can't go wrong with an immaculatley turned out horse!

Navy blue, black, white and green suit chestnuts methinks
