sorry its not horsey but i know there are a few chicken people in here. i would like to take my white pekin bantam to a little local show soon but have absoloutley no idea what you do and what they look for. presumably u dont have to run around with them lol. would she need her wings clipped??
she handles very well. its only a little show but would like to give it a try. can anyone give me an idea of what to do and tips??

It is judged on presentation, condition and breed type. Don't clip her atall, all feathers should be in as near perfect condition as poss. You will leave her in a metal cage for the day, and you can't watch while judging is going on as it is 100% annoymous. At many places they water them for you after they have been judged. It will take most of the day I should think, but you can go home

1 Week before give her a really good bath, blow dry her

fluffing the feathers up, you want her to look down hill from side on. Use a tooth brush on her legs to get all the mud from between the scales out, then on the morning put vaseline on her comb and non feathered part of her legs.
