Hi can anyone help I have a homebred ID X coloured colt he will be 3 in Aug 2010 around 15.2hh now and I would like to do alittle in hand showing with him and considering going to a chaps grading day as he is still entire, this depends on my lorry we live near Lands End in Cornwall and the nearest is Sumerset thats a long way to travel with a youngster

Just wondered if anyone knows if or where I can get a mullen mouth snaffle with brass rings in a 6" I can only find them up to 5.5" and this does not fit him now as alittle too small but he is polite in this bit and has a steady head carriage and I dont want to change bits as he goes well in this any ideas, also any ideas what to expect on a grading day as I have never been to one
Many thanks

Here you go... would this do? Stallion bit

Just thought, have you thought of taking him to the BEF Futurity held at The Grange, in Devon, later this year? I took my youngster when she was a yearling and it is a really good way to get an honest appraisal of your horse from experienced judges (plus is a good day and great experience for the youngster, too.) It is a similar format to what's expected at the CHAP's grading, so would be a good run-through for you and would give you an idea of how judges would assess your boy there.
