Hey everyone, im new to the forum so please be nice to me!
This is really a showing question, i havent done much before, and i am looking to do some coloured classes with my 13.3 pony. Just a local show, thats run on the yard i keep him, but still its a qualifier for cricklands so i would quite like to get it right! :) I'm not sure what to do .... for his turnout last year he was pulled and plaited and we came third in hand and qualified. However over this last year i have left his tail to grow, and it looks gorgeous now, (though i do wish he'd stop rubbing it!) His mane though is pulled and it sticks up like a mohican if its not plaited! I would plait his tail but hes quite chunky and handsome and i personally think he looks really silly with a plaited tail.
So the upshot is should i pull his tail, (it does look nice pulled) or shall i leave it seeing as i have waited so long for it to grow and plait it? ( His mane really does have to be plaited) Thank you, hope you can help! :o p.s i can post piccies if needed :)

There not the best photos and sorry about the terrible plaiting skills! :) The tsil could be plaited further down but this was our first attempt. :) http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/484529_176349499163913_704967725_n.jpg

Let me fix the pic links for you! :)

Handsome boy indeed.

Pull the mane and make sure your plaits don't shift.
Pull his tail.
I would also tidy him up by clipping his heels etc.
Pop you hair in a bun then put your hair your net.

He looks like a good doer..a few kilo's off would be good.

He is very nice indeed so no reason you should not have a nice red ribbon on his bridle xx

Thankyou,
any tips to stop plaits coming undone? they always seem to when i do them!
Yes this was last year when he got quite fat! he is a Very good dooer, he only has to see a blade of grass and he baloons!
Thankyou i think he is handsome too, but obviously i'm rather biased! :)
