I have never shown before so just need any advice and tips you guys have to offer :)

I have no idea what kind of halter/bridle Rocky (mini shetland) or Emma (Friesian) should be wearing or what I should be wearing?

Any advice welcome :) x

I have shown my mini Shettie in a leather show headcollar and lead rein for the past 2 seasons. She will be bitted sometime between now and next season as she is out of youngstock classes after Jan 1st :( When she is in 4yo+ classes I will show her in an in hand bridle. I wear light coloured trousers (cos she is dark brown...if she had light coloured legs I would wear dark trousers), tweed jacket, shirt+tie, gloves and navy hat with flesh coloured harness. A lot of people don't wear a hard hat for showing a Shettie...to be fair even if mine went vertical she would still not be able to kick me in the head but I always look at it as it's not what my pony could do to me but possibly someone elses, I've done some open M+M youngstock classes and if you got for example a 3yo Sec D or similar in the class they are big enough to do some damage :o
