i am trying to write adverts for my 12.2hh pony but i don't really know how to advertise him.

he's only recently backed but is happy to go out alone and all that, nothing much bothers him.
i've seen adverts for people wanting a pony of his size BUT they talk about showing both for local and county shows.
the problem i have is that i don't know if he would be able to do showing as such (maybe hunter pony etc) as he is a dartmoor hill pony (at least that's what his passport says.) and i know they aren't registered like a dartmoor is SO would i be wrong to advertise for a showing home or similar?

he is a stunning little pony with great conformation. i don't know how much more i can say without it being classed as advertising but if anyone can help i would appreciate it. thanks

Make sure you include three good pictures - one side on confirmation shot where he is standing up properly wearing a bridle (ideally with the handler out of shot or just at the edge - if they are shown at all the handler should be smartly dressed), one side on under saddle with a smartly dressed rider who fits him properly or is slightly on the small side and one "action" shot of him trotting. State in the advert that he is a Dartmoor hill pony. Also state his age, height and sex - sounds obvious but you would not believe the amount of people who miss some or all of these details! .

He won't be eligible for County M&M FR or flat/workers classes as he is not a registered Dartmoor but if he is a nice smart pony he could give a child a lot of fun at local level.

A concise professional looking advert should maximise your chances of getting genuine callers.

thanks for the reply, i make sure i get his age/height/colour/breed/sex as to me that's the important part when looking but the tips about the pics are good especially the bit about a rider dressed smart etc. didn't think of that!
