Just looking for a bit of advise/ tips on showing a Welsh Section B

I have shown lots of m&ms before and know they are shown natural etc etc but just want people who have done it years or shown m&ms at high levels, their views and tips on this.

The pony i have to show this year is a beautiful 8 month old palomino welsh sec b colt, he has 4 white stockings and a white face with obviously a white mane and tail.
I have been told as he turns into a yearling this year he is classed as a yearling?? Some classes do state 'Class 1: Yearlings (Born 2011)' so i guess this is right???

Any tips on turn out, any products that would be brilliant to use and classes on which would best suit him?

Got shows such as NPS, Equifest, Royal London, SWPA & PUK as hopeful events that we will attend this year!

Yes he's a yearling :) sounds very smart.

Trim/clip jawline. Pull mane, leave feathers/tail. Inhand bridle with bit- though I tend to lead yearlings off the noseband.

Find your local wpcs association as they will have dedicated classes for yearling Bs (or 3 yrs and under depending on class sizes). As well as your more generic shows which have inhand classes.

Chalk paste for socks, baby oil for eyes/nose and a bit of supreme products coat shine. All you need to do. Have a great season.

i have a bitless bridle as he was showed by his owner for the first time back in november and had a bridle with a bit but the bridle looked very big on him as he has a tiny little head and wasnt placed because of the bridle,
I have a tiny foal inhand bitless bridle where the leather is rolled, ive used it on a 5 yr old welsh a, 4 yr old wpb and a yearling wpb and it fits the palomino fine as tried it on so using that for the time being :)

got lots of supreme products on the way i.e palomino shampoo, coat shine, hoof paint (clear) etc
His mane at the moment is quite alright but does need a good shave under the chin ;) lol

This is him :)
He is turning slightly dark in some areas so thinking he may turn to a darkish palomino colour, he was about 6/7 months old here

Yes he's a yearling and, Aww he's very pretty!

I find 'whal - dirty beastie' shampoo is amazing for white socks and tails, my welshies all have white socks and this brings them up beautifully!

And for anything light coloured I keep a bottle of stain remover/whitner spray (either cowboy magic or red rum) and baby wipe handy at shows, great for last minute stain removal before classes!

Have fun, I love the big summer shows (bsps/nps/puk etc!)
