showing.... advice please :)

im doing my first showing class in a few weeks

only done sj and xc so i am new to showing

but soo many people have said to give it a go with kyra she is arab x hanovarian i am going to do:
ridden fine breeds including tb arabs part breds etc
ridden coloured palomino roan coloured etc
inhand of the same above ....
so questions? ....
put her in a double?
for inhand should i get her a inhand bridle?
plaited or not plaited .... tail pulled or not?

Nice mare. I would plait her up and personally would pull her tail as well. If she goes nicely in a snaffle then there is no need to put her in a double. You don't have to get her an in hand bridle, a normal cavesson bridle will do.

Agree with the above, she is lovely. Plait mane, and either pull or plait tail. A normal bridle is fine with snaffle bit, and you can just pull reins over head to do in hand!

okay soo plaited i probally will put her in a double tho and just have the snaffle for when in hand .... she can be quite a handful at shows so riding her in a snaffle might not be the best of ideas

she is goregous, i would pull her tail always looks smarter and less hassle on show days as well!!! and plait as she will need to be for part bred and riding horse classes:)

Always pull tails for showing. Plait her up and I'd be inclined to have a pretty browband on her.
You can show her in her ridden bridle and you should put which ever bit she goes best in on her bridle. so if as you say you need the double for brakes then pop that in, nothing worse then being in a class with someone else who is out of control!
