I have a 1yr old gorgeous sec A colt i would like to show inhand this summer, as he has never done it before and can be coltish at times although easy to handle. Are the young ones generally well behaved when in the ring?
Im sure he would be fine but prob wouldnt like standing still 4 ages and might get excited when they all trot round, Is it a good idea or not?

Thank you,
Also as im new to the showing world would i have to get an outfit for it or would jods, boots and black jacket be ok for low key shows?

Please, please, please, DO NOT wear jods for inhand - especially yoaungsters!!! IMHO it just looks wrong!! Wear a pair of smart trousers the opposite colour to your pony's legs, a smart shirt and tie and welshie handlers often wear a waistcoat - you can pick these up in charity shops for a few pounds. Get your boy out and about, a few inhand shows as a youngster sets them up for life - it's a good education!!
