I wonder if any showing peeps can help. I am interested in buying a section a to show in hand. I have found a stunning looking 18 month old. He fits the standards confirmation wise but as he came off of the hills is unregistered with no details about his dam or sire. The breeders details are on the passport. Where would I stand showing wise? Assume at local level this wouldn't matter but say we went higher..... I guess as I do not know the parents I cannot get him registered either? Any ideas? I really like him but as a beginner to showing natives I don't want to buy if we are limited to how far we can go (assuming things do go well!)

If he's unregistered then you won't be able to show affiliated or county level.
If you have his breeder details it may be possible to have him DNA tested but I don't know whats included in that, prices etc.
