Are tom thumbs frowned upon in the showing world?
I'd be doing maxi cob and working hunter.

Horse is a working progress, he had a rough time in Ireland before coming to me and was close to being pts due to his behaviours - he was just dangerous.
He's happiest in a tom thumb (and believe me when I say ive tried every bit!)

A friend did a lot of showing with her fell pony in a Tom Thumb. She was doing M&M and breed classes. It was never commented on and with double reins didn't look to dissimilar to a pelham or double from a distance. I think you would need to check with the society/association rules you were competing under. And it would be a no-no in novice classes.

It would be a deffo not allowed in the novice classes but from a distance with two sets of reins, they do look pretty identical to a pelham x

Best to double check with the show secretary when you enter xx
