Monty has quite a scar on his right hock (had an arguement with a wire fence as a yearling and lost

) which the hair will never grow back on as he has had proud flesh removed. Going to start taking him to local shows in the next month and was wondering if he'd be placed further down because of it?

There are plenty of great products available to conceal scars, what colour is the hair surrounding the scar? Ali has a bald patch on his hock at the moment (hair is growing back slowly) due to when he galloped up the yard and slipped on concrete, because the leadrope snapped when we were trying to load him (he gets very strong when he doesn't like something). The hair around his hock is black, and I dampened the skin a bit, and rubbed on black chalk pastel, it wasn't noticable at all.

my mare has a few scars here and there, I have never had a problem with them, even and county shows I have never been marked down for them, I try to cover them up as much as possible with chalk because shes white, but I doubt they would mark you down for that at local shows, unless the judge is very picky! hehe
You dont normally get a horse who is perfect, most horses dont realise how hard it is to take out them fences, mine found that out the other week when she tried to charge through it hehe
I wouldnt worry about it!!
