for a showing in hand class?

can i get away with a black jacket/beige jods/black boots(long)/black hat white gloves???

or does it HAVE to be a tweed jacket? :o
thanks

If its unaff you can probably get away with it if it looks like you're doing a riding class afterwards but otherwise not really. You can wear a waist coat instead of tweed though. Black or no gloves (Ive been told off for wearing gloves before but I prefer to in case of tanking off episodes) - riding hat is ok, I use mine to show the horse in hand coz she explodes from time to time :D Smart trousers and shoes/boots you can run in - if its outside make sure theyve got grip (I always fall over on corners :o )

didnt think of a waistcoat!

so i need a shirt and tie with that?

its affiliated lol!.....

im definately not going to be placed - its just for experience for the youngster and the localest show she will ever go! :)

Long sleeved shirt and a tie plus put your hair in a net too. Go into it thinking positive - you never know who you'll be competing against. Showing is such a funny discipline - I took my horse inhand showing to get her out before we start stressaging and we won beating horses with 'proper' breeding and experience, mostly I think because she grew about three inches and had a LOT of impulsion lol :D I could barely hang on at times!!

When I started showing I looked at the showing magazines online and got some ideas - its all very well someone telling you what to wear but its always better to see it to get a better idea :)

Good luck and have fun - would love to hear how you get on :)

thanks :D

im going to asda tomorow :D and going to get a shirt and i have a blue glittery nice tie which i will use... may clash with my hat but tuff :D
