I am letting a friend take one of my horses to our local hunt show on saturday. She is going to take him in the veteran and also ex racehorse class. The only trouble is, she doesn't have a hacking jacket and I will be wearing mine. Do you think it would be OK if she wore my navy jacket? I don't want her to feel the odd one out if everyone else is in a hacking jacket!

ex racers should be hacking, however if local they should not be that judgemental.

Vetran would be how you show the horse so if style and appearance would be navy anyway.

If its a local show then I wouldn't worry too much either way, you may find that there are a few others in blue show jackets too, ideally they should be judging the how well the horse performs, confirmation and correctly fitted tack etc etc and not the colour of the riders jacket, unless the judge could not decide between two competitors because all other important factors were indeed of both high standard, only then would they take the type or jacket you were wearing as a deciding factor. If your friend is very smart in her blue jacket then she'll be fine.

Good Luck to her !!
