How about Pleasure horse? I did one of these last month, and it was ace. Do all normal walk, trot, canter round as a group, then in the individual show we had to show that our horses would be good to hack on - for this we had to do turn on the forehand, rein back, and get off and on again (if we could!) It was a nice change.
Sorry folks forgot to say this is a ridden showing show! - Re. racehorse classes - every year we have offered one, everyone has wanted one, then, on the day we get just one or two entries, so not doing it this year....we want to try something different - pleasure horse sounds good so far!
In all seriousness... TGCA (Traditional Gypsy Cob Association) are desperate for people to run qualifying classes for them for their championship TOYS (Traditional of the Year Show). If you contact them and tell them you are going to give a qualification card away for them they will most probably let you mention the show on their site, and on the Facebook etc. Might be good for the show?
Maybe try contacting them to see what they say. http://www.tgca.co.uk/
