In hand showing classes what to wear? Planning on doing mountain and moorland, the palomino classes and the young stock! What jacket, jhods, boots and hat should I wear? My first show season with my loan pony, although with her owner she has always placed!

Dark trousers
Good gripped boots
Shirt/tie
Body warmer / waist coat
Hat (trilby/lead rein type hat)
Gloves and show cane
And a smile

Tweed jacket, shirt and tie, no jods wear trousers dark if your pony has light legs, light coloured trousers for pony with dark legs, walking boots good for grip when running some people use dark coloured trainers or even football boots for grip, not jod boots as they can be slippy. Although some people wear trilbys or bowler hats I would always wear a navy velvet hat, a lady at a local riding club show was killed by her youngster when it reared and struck her head. A show cane in brown, hair in hairnet and brown gloves. Hope this helps.
