which classes could i enter my new mare in? shes about 16.1hh ISH rising 5yrs. Theres a local show on in july which has *Riding horse *Ridden Hunter *Working hunter also what to wear for these classes???

I would prob go towards Riding Horse more. How does she move?

Riding Horse - Pretty browband but flat noseband
Hunter and WH no pretty browband

You will need a tweed if poss brown or green (green would look nice on her!)

Prob best to ask someone like FMM tho

She has lovely paces, just trying to work out what bit to put her in, what would she be allowed for riding horse?

Pref a pelham or double bridle with two reins. Although you could use a snaffle and go in as a novice?

shes ridden in a myler snaffle but is very strong in that

Agree that as she does is quite light in build a riding horse class would be good. Although if local, you could try show hunter or lightweight hunter....

For riding horse you need a coloured brow band. For hunter classes a plain browband.

I would try a straight bar (mullen mouth if you like) rugby pelham rather than a double to start with (but you need to be used to using 2 reins).

No numnah under your saddle ...

She looks like a riding horse type to me too, you can also do the working hunters if she jumps. She'll be on the light side, but it's a class heavily biased towards performance.
