I have a fylde saddle bought it brand new .. I find it uncomfortable .. Like sitting on a piece of wood :/ .. My legs don't hang right .. And they are not that great for the ponies backs :/ ... Think I will sell mine ( Samantha ) and buy and ideal ??
Ditto welshD - I've got two Black Country saddles and they're both lovely and I do like the native Pony saddles.
I've had a Fylde ray and it really wasn't that comfy to ride in plus they do not have proper flocking but latex panels and IMO are difficult to get to sit right.
I have a lovely all leather Ideal show saddle. If I was going for a suede one I'd pick Fylde or Native Pony Saddle. Or even Oakfield, I had a lovely saddle from them very similar to Fylde.
An Ideal ir a Jeffries for my tb's. Zoe Snape pads for my shetties - I have one, love it, want more of them lol! I have Milner pads for the others which I loved til I got a Snape pad.
Ive had a black country and loved it but I now have Barnsby's and love them. I have a dressage, GP/jump, show and WH (yes I only have one horse!) I have a bit of a saddle addiction, plus their fitters are the best I have found.
I have an Ideal Ramsey, which is lovely. I also have a very old GFS which is my favourite, the leather is good quality and when clean and soaped looks lovely. I have had Barnsbys but they seem really uncomfortable, fitted the ponies but not the rider.
