showing my horse

i have a 16hh cob x shire my profile picture, my daughter who is 13 has started to think aout getting into showing, i have never shown a horse before in my life only dogs so wouldn't know where to start, can anyone give me any idea what I can enter him in, whether my daughter can ride in the ring as she is only 13 and what is expected of her whilst in the ring, is there a book i can read/research?

I would suggest start with some riding club shows. Check the schedule to ensure that there aren't any age restrictions on the classes (usually there isn't).

Riding Club horse could be a place to start.
