Well, says it in the title really.

Here is Belle, my recue 22 month old filly.

Show Name - Tabula Rasa (Latin for blank slate)

Here we have a few photos of her on one of our daily walks.
(photos taken by a 10 year old - SORRY) :o

She is just AMAZING! :D
As soon as I click she trots.
'waaaalking' and she walks.
'hup' and she jumps over tuffs of grass/branches.
Plus she knows a few pretty good tricks!!!

Just wondered what people thought of her.
(more in my photo album)

:) AND :)

Show off your horses too!!!!!!!!

she had a good time with her breeder!.... then i got her and she wasnt used to being as manhandled as i like them to be....so taught her to lead properly etc...and not hoof me!...

she was sent away for 2 months last year (worst thing i did for her)!....but wont go there.

she came back an absolute monster....couldnt trust her, kicked over food/food aggressive etc....she NEEDED handling (which is why i shouldnt have sent her away)

shes now a proper mummys girl - wears a roller/shavings bags (:D ), saddle, long reins etc - and most of all i can put her food in her stable and take her rug off - thats a BIG deal :)

yes - does bring a tear to my eye too when i realise how far we have come - same with your pony :)

Haha, people on my yard are always amazed that I can put Belle's feed in her stable / tied up on the yard / loose in a field and still groom her & put her rugs on/off and everything else! :D

Belle was malnourished while in her dam as well as for the first year of her life. Completely neglected, starved and left knee high in filth in a barn.
She was rescued at 1 and was pretty much wild, skin and bone, matted hair, covered in lice and riddled with worms.
She was then clipped once, de-wormed a good few times, de-liced 3 times (which left her with a small bald patch above her dock) and clipped again to show how skinny she actual was (despite her being fed up for 4 weeks) :(

She is a total mummy's girl now! :p
Whinnies at me all the time, we have full blown conversations.
Helps my friend's autistic sons, kind of like therapy/ making eye contact etc.
Lets me and anyone move her feed around over and over.
Loves to be groomed
Learns tricks
AND SO MUCH MORE!

Its amazing, it really is.
Hasn't been easy, but worth it.
I'd bleed myself dry of energy and patience every day just for her.
