I'm due to enter my first showing show and looking through the schedule there are two classes and I'm not sure what the difference is?

The first is ridden hunter horse/pony and the second is riding horse/pony. No mention of jumping in either.

I'm entering a 13.2 connie x who has hunted and used in pony club rally's, can anyone let me know roughly what the difference is and which we'd be better at entering? Also would I need to plait for either??

Thanks

They sound rather unusual, normally ponies and horses would be split at 14.2 or 15 hands not all grouped in together, there will be no jumping, as to which to do it depends on your pony is it a finer type, then the riding horse/ pony, if a bit chunkier then the hunter class would be better, whichever you do you must plait and trim to turnout correctly.
