Hello, i bought a Sec A yearling colt about a month ago. He was very timid and hadnt been handled at all really. Spent lots of time with him and he is great now, walks and trots inhand, can groom all over, pick up all 4 feet and catch easily. He was bought with the intention of showing in hand then when old enough to back to be used for a lead rein pony.
He has good breeding and is a stunning little chap. I would like to show him in hand this season but never done it before. He is well behaved but but quite feisty and io think he certainly knows what his job is as he gets very excited around mares and even other geldings. He shakes his head around, digs at the ground and does stallion noises but is very easy to handle. Just wondered how other peoples young ones behaved in the ring as i dont want to enter anything and be asked to leave the ring if he is in one of his interested moods.
Also as im new to the showing world what would i be expected to wear doing in hands at low key shows? Many thanks for any advice.
