Hi all

I'm taking my traditional filly to her first show on Sunday and ordered her a flat hunter style inhand bridle, however when I tried this on her it's too small on the throatlash.

The company don't do next day or Saturday delivery so therefore I'm unable to get a bigger size :(

Is there anything else I can show her in?

I have a white rope halter but wasn't sure I'd have enough control!!

For a traditional filly a white halter can be used instead of a bridle. Fillies and mares can be shown in halters, but you must have control in the ring. You can get halters with a chain going under the jaw to give a bit more control, I have this type on our clydie mare, never needed to use it but it is there should I need more control.

Can you borrow anything from a friend to use as a bridle. You can show her in a riding bridle instead of an in hand one.

I have to buy full size bridles for Stinky with cob cheek pieces as he has a shorter head but needs full size browband and throat lash. I have to have the nosebands made to measure as he is between cob and full size.

These people may be able to get you one with a chain by the weekend, I have used them and they are very good quality and great customer service.

Good luck for Sunday.
