showing / WH - Would we be laughed out of the ring!?

Hello, so following my other post (where everyone was really helpful and supportive) I have my BD, BS and BYEH dates sorted, but I quite like showing and WH so was considering having a bash at these too. We've started doing sports horse classes which he has either won or been placed in so far, but I'm not sure which other showing classes we could do, or whether he'd fit in in WH classes.

Would some knowledgeable folk please have a look at some photo's of him for me and just see what you think we could do? I'm going to do RC level anyway as it's just for fun and experience, but there are some larger shows around but I don't want us to look ridiculous :-P. I can pm photo's to anyone that replies.

I'll have a look for you if you like - to be honest if you are doing well in sports horse classes the likelyhood is you will fit in. Judges will always surprise you though :-) My friend used to do pretty well on her horse that was bred to be a show hack because he went round the ring well, cleared every thing had good manners and produced a nice show. Obviously anything more true to type got placed above him but they only did it for fun !

If you are already doing well in SH classes I doubt very much you'd get laughed out of the ring at local level, get yourself off and have a go.

Why not pop along to some bigger shows and have a gander at what is in the ring and the classes you fancy doing, this will give you more of an idea if he's ready for that level.

Thanks, shall pm pics. I'm not well up on showing re the different weights etc, shall definitely try and get to a couple of the larger ones to see what kind of horses do what. :-)
