I was thinking about trying to show my sisters chocolate labrador as she is a good dog for her breed and thought it might be something fun to try seen as she loves people and other dogs, I was just wondering whether anyone knew how to get into showing etc and any tips???

If you mean just fun showing, there are often shows at horse shows, have a look on k9 community too, that might detail some you could go to, either to have a go or to watch others. Good luck, it is good fun!

If your dog is registered with the KC and you want to do Open and Championship shows then the best way forward is to find a Club which does Show handling training. A lot of dog clubs do this. Google Dog clubs in your area to find where they are.
Otherwise, just go along to a local companion show and enter your dogg in the Gundog class or open and/or the fun classes.These shows can usually be found advertised in your local press and as said before they are often alongside the local horse show
