I'm struggling to find any good companies, so hoped you would be able to help?

I am looking to purchase some new Show Jump Poles, different colours, not wooden approx 20 in total and 4 different fillers, happy to collect if in Essex, Herts or Cambs.

Any recommendations for good quality companies, needs to be able to live out all year round and long lasting

Happy to purchase wooden or plastic

Thanks

Poly jumps good value and the fillers are better than jump4joy I have a complete course and now buying the x country ones

some of the fillers in jump4joy are not as robust

i mean look at the feet on this one - one quick wind and it will be blown over http://www.jump4joy.com.au/65-Standard_Wings/3-Combi_A_Wing.html

where as poly jumps are a solid wedge of plastic

Another vote for Jump for Joy. My first ones are at least 15 years old as are the fillers and have always lived out. Recently bought some new ones from Jumps Online - stands fine but the poles (competition ones) are appalling quality.

Yep - Jump4joy. I actually have the stand a previous poster said would blow over and actually it doesn't - although you can sandbag the feet if you live in a very windy area. Avoid the lightweight poles though - useless.

I was looking for cheaper version but I'm not sure I can find anything - also looks like quality of quantity when it comes to jumps! Will have a look at Jump for Joy!

Do you have the competition poles - I was going to go with these

I bought my blocks and poles from JSW Horseboxes, and they are a mix of polyjump and jump4joy I think. Can't fault their service at all. I'd agree with spending the extra to get the competition poles. I have the practice poles, and though they are fab for what I'm doing (up to 60cm and on blocks) they don't take much of a tap to roll off if using with wings/stands... however they are really easy to carry ;)

Another vote for Jump 4 Joy - bought lots of stands, fillers, water trays etc. from them. Bought plain machined poles from timber merchants and painted my own. Much cheaper and quite good fun painting them. I personally don't like plastic poles.

Are these cheaper the Jump for Joy, just had a look on their website JSW and can't see they are?

Personally I would always buy heavy wooden poles, not plastic ones.

For two reasons; if they clatter them they learn to pick up their legs, and the wooden ones don't shatter/split if they have a hiccup.

Polyjumps - I found Jump4Joy way over priced for what they are and they are. I saw both the aforementioned companies have trades stands and samples at a show recently and found Polyjumps more robust and specially in winds in the field where we keep our jumps.
Op I suggest if your local to one of them to go and view them for yourself.

Tell you several reason why I wont use wooden ones.

1. I got thrown off while jumping and landed on my back onto the pole and nearly ended up in a wheel chair when another pole came down and nearly breaking my back.
2. I put my jumps a way in the winter and carrying loads of wooden jumps down the field is hard work so I auctioned off all my wooden jumps and fillers and poles this year and changed to Polyjumps. I don't regret it for a minute, and just gradually saved up for the replacement in plastic. I also have a few personal one too

3. then of cause you have the safety aspect as well
4. then there is the maintenance of the poles
