What do you wear? Blue or Black (or other) jacket? Tie or stock? and what level do you compete at?

We're new to all this!

Black jacket with green velvet collar.

Show shirt, so no tie or stock.

BSJA, lower levels, but hope to hit the medium next summer after a break from proper height competing for a good few years!

black jacket gold pipng or W jump jacket black/burgandy
and i wear a collar
level - BN to 1.40's and everywehere inbetween (wel at the moment ill be lucky to get to a 2ft class lol - the joy of baby horses!)

I wear grey hacking type, with a showjumping collar shirt, so not a tie or a stock. I used to wear a black jacket, and I wear cream or white jods, depending on which are cleanest

I am doing Discovery and with any luck Newcomers at some point.

Senior ladies are meant to wear hair nets, although lots of people don't bother (I do!)

Black jacket with silver piping and ripped lining. Time before last at a Blue Chip qualifier (BSJA) I had 2 buttons out of three and held it together with a safety pin.

Show shirt no stock... horse not quite hogged and attacked with a pair of scissors, wearing mismatched bridle.

Did manage to take buttons off sleeves and replace safety pin at the solihull qualfier

Dad is going to shoot me if I get my photo taken!

MT performance shirts are my current favourite as totally stretchy and wick away sweat so keeps you dry. Downside, is you can get a bit whiffy in them as wicks smells to the outside too .. lovely

They are on your horse?

Actually saw people with diamante stick on bits for their hats, diamante on their joddies and plenty of bling on the horse... average age of the offenders was under 20 though...

I just had a pink lined browband, I'm very discreet (out of fashion more likely)

I wear tweed, coloured stock and a crash hat!

Compete up to Newcomers... I probably look like a twa*t but I think I look smart!

In winter I wear my blue hunt jacket - it's warm!!

Handsome is as handsome does!

Daughter wears blue jaclet, pale blue collar trimmed in gold, blue hat, white breeches (cream in bad weather), black jod boots with gaiters, white show shirt. Sometimes when jumping outdoors in bad weather wears one of the new jump jackets in blue.

when I showjumped I wore a navy jacket with gold piping and a velvet collar, white stock shirt with a high overcollar (not stock or tie), navy hat and gloves, white breeches, black boots.

I loved my stock shirt, it came from America and had a proper high stock collar on it that really stood up and looked very smart, and was embroidered with my initials in navy (which was the fashion at the time - c.1994 LOL!!).

I wear a black fitted jacket, which has a burgandy collar with gold piping. Then wear a showjumping shirt but I always put a stock with it - just think it looks nice! Then white or cream jods and long black boots. Shoot me though for I have NO bling AT ALL! Shock horror!
I do BSJA discovery hoping to step up this winter and then BE intro and pre novice...sorry...BE90 and BE100!

i always wear either my tweed or my navy (be it a normal show jacket or a warm hunting jacket

) with a stock as i just think it looks smarter.

But yes i probably do stick out like a sore thumb

I wear stock shirt, white breeches ( cream if in a tweed jacket then with a navy stock) and either black or brown boots/chaps and either a navy or a brown pinstripe jacket. Er..so I wear most things you could possibly wear!

The great thing about SJing is that there arent as many rules on attire. You need to be smart and well turned out, but a stock isn't complusory and you have a choice on what type of jacket you wear.

I too wear a shirt with just a collar, i also wear one of the new BSJA jackets as it is proving very warm and comfortable. I also have a navy fitted jacket, with silver piping. White or cream jods and long boots... my boots are a little, uh, different... but again this is the joy of sjing!!

I compete up to newcomers.

I have a burgundy jacket (see sig) and a show jumping shirt. I also wear the bib shirt in summer as you can just wear a strappy top under it so it is a lot cooler. It also works in the winter as I wear jumpers under it to stay warm and no one knows.

i soooo want a pair of your bots!

I wear a green jacket with navy collar/gold piping, white johds, navy blue hat & black boots & gaitors. I like my jacket 'cos it's a bit different but this isn't always a good thing as I'm easier to spot when me/my horse do something stupid (I fell off last time out

).

I have no bling!

I'v just registered BSJA & am jumping BN/Disco.

I wear sleeveless comp shirt with collar or white stock, and navy plain fitted pikeur SJ jacket. White breeches, black long boots, and NO BLING. Just, don't do it.
OR
I wear cream breeches, stock shirt, coloured stock, tweed, and crash hat with black silk...

I wear navy ish jacket, navy hat, shirt with coller (no stock, cos i don't like anything that big or thick round my neck), white jods, black boots. I'm pretty boring, plain brown saddle and bridle, no bling.

I'm jumping dis / 1.05m.

LOL to the person that had initals on their shirt coller. That was the in thing in the 90's plus initals on saddle cloths and rugs and lorry. We never did cos we didn't want anyone to recongise us if anything bad happened.

Completely agree with Kal RE Names on things - I always think unless you're results are seriously consistent and your horse is, I don't want people knowing my name!
Forgot to say I'm competing at Newcomers about to go on to Fox.

That's the one thing I've noticed, more bling in the 14 - 19 age group, up to junior fox and senior n/c, then it sort of ... peter's out!

I've got a shirt with my initials on - although I have got married now so they are wrong. The other thing about your shirt is that the bit that can't be seen (ie under the jacket) must be a bright and garish as possible. I have some great tartan shirts....

I love Bling - I have the browband, sheepskin half pad, I bought a lovely JW breastplate but my moose is too fat and it won't fit
frown.gif
. I also got a standing martingale and a big bit because it looks so good.

I wear one of the new BSJA approved (John Whitaker) jackets, a navy one. And I wear whatever I want underneath (thin sweater etc.) since you cant see it with it zipped up. Love my jacket have to say, so much more practical than my show jacket which I very rarely use nowadays! I compete at 1.10 and 1.20m level currently.
