I have got a clear round showjumping coming up this week, it isn't competitive it's just a casual show at my riding school. I am going to be riding in the 70Cm/2ft3 class(advised by an instructor there) I'm nervous jumper as it is but I've decided to push myself as i have put it of before. I have a choice of three horses but i will only find out who I'm on the day of the show. All three horses i have ridden before but I'm still nervous about jumping.
Do any of you have any ways i can calm my nerves before the show, thanks in advance.

Visualize your jumping and show before hand. Now in the run up to the show imagine yourself not nervous at the show and then imagine cantering confidently around a course. In your head ride a course on every horse and try to imagine feeling calm and happy and confident as you sail round meeting every fence perfectly.
Then at the show while you are waiting to go in look at the course and imagine again riding it in your head doing everything your instructor has told you.
The mind is a powerful thing!
