My mare has been off work for a couple weeks due to some mud fevery thing but managed to get showjumping at Bicton Arena
Jumped the 2ft3 and 2ft6. 2ft3 didnt go very well and was very spooky when i got into the arena. She spooked and tried to spin but ended up jumping/leaping sideways which was slightly better than her usual party trick of walking on two legs! Stopped at the first, had a rail and just was generally untidy! I got out the arena and my mum noticed she had lost a shoe and turned out she had leapt onto it and just pulled it off neatly!
In the 2ft6 she was like a different horse! She didnt spoke to the same extent but jumped an ok double clear and felt much nicer than the previous round!
Video of the day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dDmIPp4GKI
Turned out her nice clear second round gave us a 10th place (I didnt even realise they placed up to 10th! - but lucky for me
). I was generally pleased with her in the later part of the day
Constructive critisism welcome - please dont be too mean to me though
I think my hands could of been alote softer and my lower leg :O but i promise im going to work on it over the winter
