I am not sure if anyone is interested in our very low-level reports, but I always enjoy reading other people's reports & there isn't much to read on here atm...
Following the meltdown in the dressage last Sat (it was raining hard & Himself did NOT approve...) we did a dr lesson elsewhere but still in the rain the following day, then did a jumping lesson at the venue mid-week which went fine. So today we returned in great trepidation...and he was back to his usual dozy self. He literally did NOT put a single foot wrong in the warm-up or the arena...not a trace of sharpness of any description, and he would have been 6th (slowest DC) if he hadn't had the first jump down for no reason at all...
Good points are: absolutely NO misbehaviour whatsoever, jumped most of the round at canter, including changes thru trot where needed, he has clicked onto what it's all about & we went straight in at 60 cm, so hopefully that's us done with the baby intro classes. He also jumped a couple of fillers that he would have had a wobble at a few weeks ago. Note the *huge* jump at no 4 - the green zig zag. And also on the subject of no 4 - it looks as if he might be going to have some scope! As he is QHxTB, I haven't really been sure of whether he 'should' be any good at dr or sj, but he seems as if he is going to be an athletic (and calm!) all-rounder.
I will try to post some pictures but they will probably be huge. I will attach them as files & see what happens!
