Hello,

Well for the last few months me and the ponios diary has been crammed full of show dates but suddenly now its august we seem to have run out of shows

and I am desperate to get out to some more before the showing season ends.

So can anyone suggest any nice local level shows coming up in Surrey? We are located near Dorking so the closer the better as we don't have our own transport.

Thanks xx

snap! I'm also located near Dorking and have no transport.

Have you been to Great Bookham EC? (http://www.gbec.info/) they have SJ next weekend, and have a summer show in september with full selection of showing classes.

I have also hacked to Newlands Corner RC (http://home.btconnect.com/newlandscorner/) who do a variety of SJ, Dressage and fun showing.

Longacres, on woodlands rd. east horsley, have some V. low key showing and showjumping.

There's also Pachesham in Leatherhead - they have some dressage and then events on 30th and 31st Aug.

elstead riding club have a charity show on aug 17th as do berks college of agriculture. chobham riding club have open show on bank hol monday. there is a show at bookham riding club on sun 24th. try looking on ridingdiary.co.uk

I'm always hacking to Newlands Corner but I think they don't have any showing shows til september now, think it's just combined training and considering how super excited my little mare gets when we arrive at Newlands it would be insane for me to try jumping anything more than an individual jump in RC horse! lol! Funnily enough when we box to a show she behaves like an angel which is why i'm looking to see what else is happening this month. Perhaps if we can find something we are both interested in going to we could hire a box and split the costs? Sadly I missed the last show at Bookham as the trailer we were meant to be borrowing was needed by someone else, but I would definately be interested in going to the one in Sept, do you know the date for it?

Thanks x
