Wanting to start showing my (soon to be) yearling this year, so I have been looking around to try and find shows that have yearling/youngstock classes, but I'm struggling.

I've only found 3 (I think) for the entire year, I'm sure there must be more than that.

We're on the Surrey/Berkshire/Middlesex borders.

Does anyone know of any nearby (ish) shows? Or at least where I should be looking to find them?

Thanks

Have you tried the Riding Diary? That may be of use as lists the majority of shows in each area. I have found it very handy as am also looking for local shows to do in hand stuff with my youngster ths year

I scrapped going to youngstock ones and did novelty to start her off when she was less than a year old. This year we'll do some coloured classes, in hand classes etc. I may also enter novelty but remove myself before the rosettes as were not newbies now!!

Also keep a look out at your local tack/feed shop as they will often have schedules for local shows which might not be advertised elsewhere.

All the riding clubs around my area - sadly nowhere near you - have yearling and/or youngstock classes. Try googling Surrey Riding Clubs, Berkshire Riding Clubs etc...

I tried riding diary, lots of shows with no schedules so can't see what classes they're doing.

I will try the other suggestions also, I was looking for an excuse to nip to the tack shop lol
