Hope this helps. :)

It took them 3 goes to get a mark on my cob, they will come back free of charge untill you are happy. The first time they did her there was not 1 white hair, then the second time she got around 7 white hairs. Luckily on the third go she left the irons on for what would normally do a bald mark, I now have a lovely clear mark. I think I may have a rhino skinned cob, but I was determined to have a freezemark on my mare :D

I also think looking at your photos you should see something after 3 weeks, on all my others who were marked (not the rhino sj=kinned cob) after 3 weeks the scabs had fell off and were either bald with new white hairs growing through the skin. Hope you dont have to go through what I did and have your marked again :confused:

I remember when I had mine done I was thinking it wasn't going to appear. It did eventually but I can't remember how long it took. Hers didn't actually scab though but it is clear as you like and didn't have to be re-visited :)

My friends cob who is just like Shy took 2 goes as well, for the 2nd attempt the lady held it on a long time and said it had taken better. Unfortunately it still isn't great and only 2 of the 4 letters are properly visible but my friend doesn't want a 3rd attempt.

why wouldn't she want the 3rd attempt? I want to get Freddie done, but he's mainly white so will have to go for the bald one lol..... do they use electric clippers? Might have to wait until hes a bit more confident if so! How much did you pay shysmum ?xx

I had my cob done in the same place just behind my saddle, it looked exactly the same , you could faintly see the letters in certain light. After a few weeks it gradually formed a scab and then fell off and white hair grew after.
I love it as its personalised to mine and her initials.
On the paperwork it did say it could take up to 12 weeks to see the final mark. I was so excited when it finally came through properly!!

Thanks for adding the pics shysmum. I think my boy will need to be done in almost the same place. The last horse I had done was the same - it just looked raised/swollen and then suddenly it scabbed over and te mark appeared.

I was just going to look up this thread as I have today's pic, the scab is starting to form. His mark is LV 67, and I need to use a camera, not my phone *sigh* ;

The whole thing was £55 just for Shy, inclusive of a year on the register - a bargain :) It is about £25 more for your own mark, i think (with farmkey).

Oh and took this at the same time, just because !!

CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Did you see the Drum horses the other day on a Jubilee programme, they had their moustaches waxed!! hehe

Geez, mine have been done 1 week now, on my black horse 50% has already scabbed and scab fallen off!! On chestnut only about 5% has scabbed and fallen off!!! Can't believe shys had it done 3 weeks already, I remember the thread where we all said to freezemark, you must have got it booked in fairly damn quick as at that time, mine were already booked but had to wait for them to come!!!

And by kind request from Shysmum, here are a couple of comparisons, I also had my 2 done and are vastly different in comparison to shys'! Just shows how different skins react differently, both of these pics are on day 6 after being freezemarked.
