I am struggling to get a chiropractor out the two female practitioners are pregnant thus not working and the male practitioner is awayI am unwilling to try some one out who has not been recommended as have been ripped of my a " holistic practitioner " in the past.
Work wise for example this week Monday we long reined T W T ridden F off Saturday long reining with pole work Sunday off then Monday will start with long reining again. All work is carried out 9am finished by 10am then some afternoons I hack him out.
Every ridden session starts with a 15min lunging session walk trot canter to warm him up and encourage him to stretch.
As a few have commented yes I am happy with the trainer at the moment. I see good things starting to happen the way she rides or trains may not be to every ones taste but thats life !
I enjoy reading and learning from the comments.
Pfft what are they like talk about bad timing! It would be interesting to see what they say & I don't think it would be a bad thing for Armas to have a good massage.
Ok thanks for his schedule. I'm coming at from a human sport science view but the horses muscle work in very similar ways & I wonder if it would be beneficial to Armas to work only 2 days under saddle before having a rest day - this doesn't have to mean no work but rather a relaxed day say going on a long hack & not having to "work" in the same way as in the school. I think this would allow his muscles to repair and his mind to relax so to speak. I'm not sure whether he is just not using the hind because of a subconscious thought to protect it (because of the previous problem), but I suspect he is a bit weak behind (understandable doing something new) & at the moment there will be a lot of growth & repair going on in all his muscles.
I also like learning from the comments & find these threads incredibly interesting.
