Just looking for anybody that has any experience of their horse suffering from a similar injury to the sacroilliac region?
My horse began to buck, bronk, rear etc last summer (completely out of the ordinary for him). I had the vet out as new this was not just bad behaviour and was told he had damaged his sacroilliac ligament and to have 6 months field rest. Just coming up the the 6 month mark him came in very lame and my vet suspected it was due to the injury flaring up again. Following this I have sent him for bone scans (as ultrasound and X-rays cannot image SI region as it is to deep). Results were as expected showing definate damage to the SI region. He has recently had steroid injections into the SI and had now gone to Hartpury for intensive physio.
If anyone else has experience anything similar I would be really interested in hearing of how their horse recovered and what sort of ridden work they were able to do following?
Thanks
