Hi all!!

Can't believe it, it's one thing after another with us!!! So, doggy with mast cell cancer (doing ok with that as far as vet and I can tell), has recently had horrid deep seated chest infection which has taken since mid May to shift (huge vets bills!), had a bad sickness and diarrhoea in the middle of that whilst we were on holiday (he was with us).

Today, just days after getting off the antibiotics and a thumbs up from the vet, he manages to raid the bin whilst I was out. Remenants of the previous nights takeaway amongst other stuff. He has been fine all day, but started vomiting and diarrhoea at about 9.30 tonight (approx 11 hours after he raided the bin).

So now I am burning the midnight oil sitting up with him. I have made a bed for myself on the kitchen floor (joy) but daren't nod off yet as it is obviously coming on suddenly with no warning and if I can get him outside before it comes out I will!!!!!!!

So, I will starve him for the next 24 hours, then start him on small amounts of chicken. Anything else I can do???

Ta, T xxxxxxxxxx

poor you!!!!! and poor doggie even though it was self inflicted. my lurcher has a delicate stomach and frequently scavenges and i have found that fish and rice has been better than chicken for her. it may just be her but when i spoke to my vet he said fish was easier for them to dijest......hope you have a decent night.....:D:D

Ta for the tip, may well try fish this time!!!!

Probably not much consolation, but I'm sitting up late tonight too. Both dogs well, but the people over the hill are having a wild party (didn't ask us!!) and my foxhound x pointer boy is appalled. Wants to go out for a pee but daren't, in case the music gets him, so have just had to escort him in the moonlight round our very uneven field. Hope your boy is better in the morning.

Oh bless!! I hope they didn't keep you awake all night!!!! And I also hope that moonlit wanders over uneven ground haven't left you injured by this morning!!!!

My boy has stopped shaking and spasming, but is still having bouts of sickness and diarrhoea, although much less frequent, probably because there's nothing left in there!! He is looking very tired today, will starve him til later this afternoon which will be just over 24 hours since he last ate (the bin!!!), then try a little fish / chicken. Didn't get much sleep, 3 lots of 20 mins dozing between the time I logged off and 5.30 this morning, at which point I managed to get an hour and a half in.

Why do they do it to us lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will see what the day brings. Sleep, I hope!!!!!!
