hi everyone i have a pair of dublin river boots which my oh bought me for my birthday last july. i didnt know they werent waterproof until winter :/ so after the rain we have had lately im sick of wet feet!!

i love them they are sooo comfy but i need some decent riding boots that can be worn when bringing in mucking out and for riding (im too lazy to change my boots from field to riding so want all in ones lol) so what boots would you reccomend for around £150? im going to lincolnshire show on 21st june n they had some fab offers last year but wanted your opinions first :)

I love my Toggi Canyon boots - they're fully waterproof and a snip at just over £100. The only thing is (if we ever get a summer ) you might find them a bit warm, they're great for winter though.

Keep an eye on ebay I found a shop over the weekend that were doing Ariat Grasmeres for £150 plus £6 P+P. I love my grasmeres, and glaciers too.

what is the sizing like? im a six the dublin river boots sizing is very good the size 6 fits perfectly but i had a pair of boots before these (cant remember name tho mind gone blank lol) and they were rubbish sizing the 6 were too small n size 7 were massive :(

I find some of the leather boots too wide and stiff for riding. I had the same issue as you with wet feet so I have gone back to jodphur boots and everyday half chaps for around the yard. Much cheaper than the long leather boots if you go for Dublin or something and lasts for ages, keep my feet dry too even if I spray off my legs and feet with the hose when I'm finished. Think both the boots and the chaps were approx. £70, just another idea.

I'm also normally a size 6 and the 6 in these fits me perfectly.

i really like the grasmeres do you have a link? i love the look of the toggi canyons too my oh is paying as they are for my birthday lol x

Get a pair of Ariats! As someone else mentioned, ebay often have people selling them. I got my brand new pair for £170ish, the ad stated that the box was damaged but was perfect when they turned up!

I have had them through 3 terrible winters, walk through water fences when walking XC, stand calf deep in mud and have mucked out, ridden and done the supermarket run in them for 3 years. They have just started to let a bit of damp in when I wade through the water fences - but considering the hammer I have given them, with very little care, I think they are brilliant value.

I have had some of the cheaper similar boots before and they havent lasted this sort of treatment for even one whole winter.
