Sickening - where the USA dumps their unwanted horses!

This story is one of the most sickening and sad I have read for along time. The USA horse slaughter ban means that unwanted horses are just moved across the border to Mexico and the method of slaughter is horrendous. The slaughter house workers deserve to have their own spinal cords stabbed! And I'll bet PETA will not do anything at all! Or the USEF.

Utter stupidity on behalf of the USA. Passing the buck comes to mind! Slaughter houses are necessary, keep them on your own soil and monitor them instead of sending the problem elsewhere.

Can't this be moved to new lounge so more people can read it and possible some sort of petition done.

I think it's absolutely barbaric and makes Potters seem like paradise
 
This is how this ridiculous Bill was introduced..... a petition! Stupid do-gooders.

This is why we should never ban slaughter houses like potters in the UK they will end up going to somewhere like this it really does turn my stomach...Jeez a bullet costs nothing........ poor poor animals
 
BEing from the USA you cannot know how upsetting this is. I have warned and warned that Peta would pass something like this and no one would listen. I get called crazy on this forum, but no THIS is crazy. Some of these horses are useful, young well broken and just got bidden up by killer buyers. I have a forum in the USA just on this subject and we are doing petitions etc. and trying to get bills passed to stop this barbaric practice.

It is horrible. They are turning some loose in State parks too. A lasy I know a few miles away that owns a riding stables is finding some tied to her trees in the night!
I am so saddened by this all and would really like the slaughter houses here to be opened again and be more humane. Either that or stop breeding low valued stock and eauthanise your unwanted horses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


It is in my experience not the HORSE people who are against slaughter here and petitioning against it. It is non horsey "animals lovers" that have no idea what they are doing and it's horrible impact on the horses here.
