My trailer side panels have gone soft?

It's hard to explain what I mean.. But if you put you're hand on the panel and push it will sort of bend in and out? Same if you do it from outside.

Has anyone experienced this ? And how much am I looking to get the side panels replaced? It's got an aluminium floor!

The wood is rotting, we just sold our trailer who has spilts in the corners of the panels - a known problem for Ifors, Costs about £500-£600 for all panels (that's for HB505) so may be more/less for you

I have the same, the panels are 180 plus vat and ifor dealer quoted £60 an hours and reckons it was about 4 hours. total in the region of about £500

As you peel the rubber away, the corners have crumbled slightly, (looking mouldy) I have tried searching through old threads, but didnt get much help from reading the.

So im looking at £500ish with labour.. but if i was to buy the parts and had a family member put them in? Is this do-able ?

Its not all the panels... Its the big panel on left hand side and then the small slanted panel on the same side. (if you understand what i mean)

So maybe i can do the side that is desperate 1st and then get the other side done before that starts too

Take it into your local Ifor service place and they will be able to get you a full quote for the parts and fitting - I had the side panel done in my 510 about 2 years ago, with it's annual service and a few other bits it was about £300.

I bought a trailer with this problem :( Apparantly the IW dealer said the year I'd bought had been recalled and mine hadnt gone back for the 'then' free repairs. Typical! We ended up trading it in with them for a new one as it was about £600 as new floor needed too and they gave us a very good price which meant I got a new one for not much more.
I cant remember the year but it was pre ali floors, which came in about 2000 I believe.

It is rot. Water gets between the bonded layer . Any Horse trailer servicer will be able to repace them for you not just Ifor.
I've paid 500 for the panelson a 510 to be replaced. Now it has a slightly different shade ramp, jockeys door and ramp.

If you're near me pm me
