Can anybody tell me what the extra two rings on either side of the main one in the centre of the noseband where the lunge-line attaches are used for? Would you run the lunge-line from them (and, if so, why?) or are they designed to attach something else? Thanks!

I would guess they are so you can attach side reins, but why I don't no.
I suppose you could attach the lunge line to them.

I attach the lunge line & change when changing direction, so it does not pull the noseband bit round.

Also if long reining or lunging with 2 reins I sometime run the lines through these from the girth & up. Especially if young horse's as I prefer the pressure to be on the nose than mouth when they are young.

.
k9h, do you attach the long rein to these rings in the way that you could also attach to the bit rings (just checking that I understand your explanation!)?
