Thank you so much for all your positive vibes.
The vet came back and did the x-rays. Sid had to be sedated again as he was very distressed. We then had a small drama as he wouldn't come round.
He's now in a sort of soft cast from the tip of his hoof to his shoulder.
We then had to wait til 1845 to hear back as the xray was difficult to read and the vet wanted a second opinion. Anyway the good news is they're 97% sure there's no fracture and its just extensive soft tissue damage but the swelling is making it hard to tell.
So he's got to keep his cast on til monday and on strict box rest. We've got to give him antibiotic injections and bute plus a calmer and try to stop him lying down. They're coming back on monday to do some more xrays but fingers crossed it is just a nasty kick - nothing more scary.
