I use the word 'selling', but actually I should say 'wasting time' on ebay. I'm selling off a few odds and sods. Had a few new headcollars, ropes, whips etc and did a small job lot. Lady won the bidding and then no payment. Politely prodded her, nothing. Phoned her and she says there is a problem with her paypal. That's fine I say, ill accept a cheque. Lost my cheque book she says, but I can pay by card. She must have expected me to say I couldn't take cards because when I said no problem she put the phone down.

So, after dicking around with ebay rebates, I relist it, putting polite request saying please, please don't bid if you don't intend to pay. B*gger me its only happened again! What do people get out of bidding for stuff and then not paying?

Also listed some rugs. Lady buys a 6'9 and then asks if I could send her a 6'0 instead. Um no, its a 6'9...

Listed some thelwell baseball caps. Question ' will it fit my head, its quite big'. Eh? Compared with what??

Please cheer me up, its not just me they are picking on is it?

Nope, i am still waiting for payment on an item. I agree, why bid if you don't want it?? Duh blimming fools. I recently sold some body moisturizer, unused new, the woman left me negative feedback because she "doesn't like the smell of peaches" why buy "Peach body lotion" then you silly cow!!! I hate e-bay sometimes!

yep they`re all out there just waiting to bring strangeness into your life!

Haha they sure are! Can you not do the second chance offer? if there are other bidders that is. You may lose a small amount of money, but sometimes it is easier than all the agro of cases etc.

On the other side, I just bought a bit and it turned up still covered in the previous horses saliva, hay and the balck cr@p that gets generated where the bit rings go through the mouth piece - grim!! Going to put it in the dishwasher....

AND a previous bit I bought as 'brand new' turned up and was clearly used with teeth marks etc, then the seller accused me of using it and sending it back when I didn't like it!!! (I have a box full of bits I have bought and used only a couple of times and then kept, I have never tried to get my money back after using a bit!!!)

Edited to say - OP I do sympathise with you as a seller, it is pointless to bid on something if you don't intend to buy it and bl00dy annoying!!!

I am sooo with u on this!!! I have had non paymnet for lots of things in the past,a saddle,a trailer ,u2 tickets etc etc. The saddle i was selling was really nice, went for spot on what it was worth and the woman blooming well cancelled her cheque on me,reckon she was hoping i had already sent the saddle! I had 100% feedback until this stupid lady who was a nightmare from the start bidded on some mountain horse boots that were nearly new but not brand new,i clearly stated that my actual boots wern't the EXACT boots as in the picture i used (got it off M.H website) and the woman left me neg feedback saying they wern't the exact same boots as in picture!!! bloody cheek,it was in massive bold red writing!!! That did annoy me as now i have 98% feedback because of her. I can't believe some people have the cheek,i make doubly sure i want an item before i bid.

Sometimes you do wonder if it's worth the hassle.

We're having someone dick around with payment over a bl**dy 99p video!!!

Oh crikey that's rediculous!

I could understand it a bit more with mine if they had paid too much, as it is both winning bidders have had a cracking deal - 7 x FS headcollars, 3 x leadropes, 2 whips and a fly mask, all brand new and the winning bids have both been for £15 or £16 plus P&P at cost price. Oh well onwards and upwards

Hi u lot. Totally agree plenty of timewasters on there. I ALWAYS pay promptly. Some people hey. I have 3x pairs of jod boots on there at moment god knows what will happen. I don't very often sell on there because of wasters. Shame really.

I've bought and sold loads on Ebay - usually ok but the worst was when I was trying to sell my horse lorry..... "will you consider px for a speed boat?" "will you do straight swap for Subaru Impreza?" no no no!!!! What is wrong with these people?!
