Deary me...
One of the first posts I made on here was about Bella's yippity yapping and circling.
In fact, when she first came, she looked just like the female 'Gretchen' featured in Cesar Millan's live show, with the other dog looking on, bemused.
A buzz collar and valerian did not work.
What did seem to work was crating her in the daytime in the house, until I was told if I did not get the crate out of the kitchen, I would be moving into it (our house is tiny, in fairness)
She seemed to really settle down but in the last few weeks, it has started again, she sounds like a fire alarm and she runs in circles, she has actually worn a circular path in the exercise pen.
This is NOT a high energy dog living in a low energy household. She couldn't get walked any more than she currently does and she does not want to work, she hate it and tries to evade things like agility and heelwork, even with the positive, friendly, training methods. If anything, she reacts better to a firm hand.
It recently came to light that for the first six months of her life she had been a house pet, slept at her feet, bullied her other, much bigger brother
, then her owner, who was pregnant, went away for a few weeks and her dad, who is also his breeder's dad, put her out in kennels.
When she returned the pup was running round going mad and her father said her head was away, between that and the pregnancy is how we had the opportunity to buy her.
Mother dearest is now suggesting she be a house dog. This would be workable only when we are at home, of course, and I would worry that it would unsettle her brother, he does get very vocal if she gets to go somewhere and he doesn't.
The size of the house and the fact that his ongoing waterworks issues mean he couldn't be a full time house dog too.
Any thoughts?

I would imagine as she gets enough exercise it prob more an OCD thing or she is a bit active/clever bright wise, I personally would try where ever u can to snap her out of it, I would go along the lines of rape alarm, fast as u like when she is doing it, hopefully it will stop her immediately in her tracks or water pistol, a few tries of either may be enought to break the habit as a negative assosiator.
