Hi, I have now spent weeks researching the construction of my 20x40 arena and think I have decided on materials. The problem is now trying to get them at a reasonable price! Unfortunately as I am in Norfolk all of the quotes I am obtaining are being hugely increased due to haulage. Does anyone know of anywhere that supplies 75-40mm angular stone or true clean crushed concrete? Ideally it needs to be within a reasonable distance of the Gt Yarmouth area. Also I am looking for silica sand. Our closest quarry is Kings Lynn but they have told me they only supply equestrian grade silica via their distributers which are all the major area companies who I have already had prices from. I have seen old posts on this forum where people have said they collected the sand from the quarry themselves and have had it delivered. Perhaps things have now changed but if not does anyone know how I can buy direct from the quarry?
Any help will be greatfully received!

Will give Bardo a try. Have already tried Frimstone. Spoke to their area sales rep and he wouldn't even give me a quote. Told me his haulage would be too expensive so quote wouldn't be competitive. Didn't even get the chance to say what quantities I wanted -their loss!!

Thanks

That's right their loss, unusual for them to be so off.
But you can get all you need from Bardo.

They are not too far for you so haulage should be good.
I am on Norfolk/Suffolk border & the cost was really competitive.
We have put in 2 arenas using their aggregates, make sure you ask for silica sand suitable for equestrian surfaces.
