Since We have had a considerable amount of rain I decided to leave my little filly in the hardcore turnout area as I didn't want her charging around and get the other wound up. Hardcore area has a gate straight into the field where she can constantly see other pony in one field and other pony in other field. She had a huge amount of haylage to see she didn't get bored if she ran out and seemed calm enough and settled. So I trotted off to my room to do uni revision couple of hours later I hear a crack and see a pony trotting across the garden. She had jumped a very thick Hawthorne hedge thats about 4ft high by 3ft wide and has post and rail running along the field side of it. When I say jumped I mean git half way and impaled herself on it. Poor little filly, luckily the major cuts are between her nip nips and in the creases of her back legs.. so least its all pretty clean in that area.

I've cleaned her all up and been over and over her removing all the thorns. Cuts seem ok just her hind legs have swollen a little so popped some bandaged on her tonight to try and get the swelling down.

The most upsetting thing is I've been trying to help her ie clean wounds up, so in helping I've hurt her ie. I've made her cuts sting.. and now all our trust bonds we made are now broken as she thinks I'm pretty evil at the minute! I know babies bounce back but it is a bit of a bum that I know she doesn't particularly like me much at the second :(
