Around lunch time I heard a few rumbles of thunder and looked up so see some dark clouds. I thought I'd better pop out and get the fly rug off my tb just in case it does hit us! It was very warm so I thought he'd be okay naked until tonight. I got my baby in her pushchair and walked down to the field, called them and would they come....of course not! Couldn't go down to them as leaving a teething baby at the gate whilst I walk to the other side of a 4 acre field isn't a good idea!!! Then the rain came! I stood calling like a plonker, thunder and lightening above our heads! Gave in in the end! Well the rain hasn't stopped! Tb will be absolutely drenched and probably shivering, can't put a LW on him obviously so he'll have to be naked tonight! Got weather warnings on the local news, localised flooding! Why this morning did they not mention any rain!!? Hopefully it will stop later so I can nip out and get a LW on him! Can't even bring him in as stables are full of building materials as roof's being replaced this week and are half on!! Abouts to pop down to them now, they'll probably be galloping about as that's what they do when a bit of rain hits them!

If only they came when called, they must've heard the thunder on its way too!!!!

Ha ha! My horse is a wuss. When I went to get him in on Sunday it had just started raining (he's only going out for 2-3 hours at the mo b/c our grass is too good) . . . the second I called him he came trotting to the gate to get out of the rain. Delicate little flower. He may be living out when we get to new yard so he's in for a shock!

Oh bless him!!! Well I took his fly rug off as it was just hanging off him, all heavy! He looked very sorry for himself, but no shivering!! Stopped raining now so abouts to go out and put a LW on him, that's if he'll stand still and hasn't rolled in all the mud/puddles and got himself wet again!!
