I have had the pleasure of owning my coblet - Bonnie for five years today
!!!
On reflection, she probably wasn't the best first horse for a nervous novice, but heck, has she taught me lots.
Endless patience and time spent with her have turned the once scared to death almost semi feral nervous beast she was, into an inquisitive, loving individual. I recall the first weeks when she had no idea what personal space was and had so clearly never been stabled, the times I got "slam dunked" into walls as she swung around are innumerable! but its a testament to her that she never bit, kicked or barged me despite her fear. She really is a sweetheart, who even when shes having one of her "moments" (she can spook at a mouse farting) I still trust her totally. We have learned to accept each other, and our bond is very strong. So the lack of lie ins, the reduction in spare cash and spare time since having her in my life is so totally worth it.
So thanks to my little coblet Bonnie for being the lovely equine friend you are
XX
And sorry for going on, but I think she's worth it
