Silly, pointless soppy post I'm sorry !

I was away for a few days over weekend.
When I went to get Blue he came trotting over to see me. Fed him on yard, then stood and scratched his ears, cuddled him and chatted to him.

normally he loves cuddles but will get impatient after five minutes, but when I looked at the time we’d been stood there half an hour! And when I went to lead him off he just put his head in my arms again so we stood there a while longer!

Sounds so silly I know but it seemed he had missed me and was just so lovely just being there cuddling him I didn’t want to leave!

It's things like this that make the less 'lovely' parts seem totally worthwhile.
Non-horsey friends ask how I can cope with the mud, cold, muck, hard work, expense, etc etc - but a few moments like you've described more than make up for it.

It does make it all worth it doesn't it!!

I love riding a few times a week but mostly enjoy keeping our bond going with grooming, in hand work and in other random ways lol XD
